The Hogwarts Legacy story quest brings you to the end of the Guardians’ trial chain. Here, you will learn the truth about Isidora’s fate and face a powerful creature unlike any you have ever encountered before.
Start of the quest: conversation in the Map Room

After explaining to the Guardians and Professor Figo that Bragbor’s diary with the coordinates of the last vault has fallen into Ranrock’s hands, you are told an important detail: the final test will require special skills in dealing with magical creatures.
The Way to Craigcroft Beach

Travel through the flying powder to the point marked “Cragcroft’s Shore.” Look for it north of the body of water located to the right of the Meynor Cape region.

Professor Fig will meet you there. In front of you is a stone bas-relief hidden by thick vegetation. Use the Confringo spell to burn away the undergrowth and reveal the image of a grafon. Now it is clear why the Guardians mentioned working with creatures.
Professor Fig heads to the Map Room—you’ll have to continue the journey alone.
Battle with the Lord of the Shores
Where to find the lair

Head to the southwesternmost point of the map, to the Klagmar Coast region. Look for a massive whale skeleton. Behind it is a cave inhabited by the legendary graforn known as the Lord of the Shores.
The first phase of the battle

Use all available resources:
| Type of attack | Application |
|---|---|
| Basic spells | Constant damage |
| Ancient magic | Powerful strikes when the gauge is full |
| Magic Throws | Throw surrounding objects |
The main difficulty is Grafon’s lightning-fast attacks, which come with virtually no warning. Keep your finger on the dodge button at all times. The target lock function is indispensable here: the creature is constantly moving, jumping around you and attacking from behind.
Second phase: after 50% health

Grafon enters a state of rage. His blows become devastating, the pauses between attacks are reduced to a minimum, and his pursuit is relentless. There is almost no time to catch your breath.
End of the match

When Lord Beregov’s health runs out, the execution scene will begin: Graforn prepares for his final push. The game will offer a choice:
- “Bow down” — the right decision
- “Attack” — an alternative option
Choose the first option. By bowing your head before the mighty beast, you will earn its respect. From this moment on, the grafon will become your ally and permanent mount.
Return to Pensiv San Baccara
Mount the grafon and ride back to Pensiva Hall. Poachers have set up barricades along the way—use the grafon’s ramming ability to break through any obstacles.

At the entrance to the hall, stop on the round platform with your new companion. The slabs will gradually light up, and a secret portal will open under the stone bas-relief.
Memoirs of San Baccar

Hurry up and go inside. The portrait of San Baccar will finally recognize you as worthy of the knowledge he has guarded for so long.

Go down the stairs and immerse yourself in memories through Pensiv. You will see:
- San Bakar visits the Morgan family home and finds Isidora’s father completely devoid of emotion.
- Rakeham learns that Isidora uses her magic even on her own students.
- The professors confront Isidora at one of the vaults.
- After an argument and a brief duel, San Bakar utters a deadly curse—Avada Kedavra—killing Isidora
Completion of the quest
Leaving your memories behind, use the enchanted passageway to return to the Hall of Maps. Approach the portrait of Rakeham—the Guardians will reveal the location of the final vault from the vision: the caves beneath Hogwarts itself.
You have proven your readiness. Rakeham explains the next step: creating a special magic wand from artifacts found above each Keeper’s Pensives. Professor Fig advises visiting Ollivander’s shop, but first — informing Professor Weasley of the impending threat. You will need all the help you can get in the coming battle.
