Meeting with Poppy Sweeting

Head to the northern part of the Forbidden Forest, where Poppy Sweeting awaits you. She will ask about the fate of Krylobor and tell you about the Hall of Horntail, the lair of poachers who have turned the exploitation of magical creatures into entertainment.

The Way to the Hall of the Horned One

As you walk along the path with Poppy, you will encounter a group of centaurs. They will reproach you for leaving the walls of Hogwarts and accuse you of conspiring with poachers. Disperse their suspicions, and the centaurs will let you go, but warn you of the danger.

Continue on your way. Along the way, notice an unusual scene: a gill-footed creature drags a deer into the lake. Poppy will note that this behavior is atypical for these creatures.

Inspection of the poachers’ camp

A little further along the trail is a camp that needs to be explored. Examine the following objects:

• Cell
• Animal skins
• Bonfire
• Goblin metal behind the tent

After completing your inspection, return to Poppy and discuss your findings. Then descend the hill. A group of poachers awaits you ahead — you can either sneak up on them using the Confundus spell (invisibility) or attack them openly. If the bridge is destroyed, repair it with the Reparo spell. After crossing the bridge, enter the tent to trigger a cutscene that reveals the true nature of the Horned Hall.

Inside the Horned Hall

The hall turns out to be an arena for dragon fights. Together with Poppy, you decide to act covertly, although you can choose an aggressive approach if you wish.

Eliminate the poacher directly in front of you, then turn right into the room and go down the stairs. At the bottom, you will find another poacher and two loyalist goblins. Deal with them or go around them, then climb the stairs at the far end of the room.

Keep moving forward. Before turning right, a short cutscene will play: you will see the third dragon in chains—poachers are torturing it.

Saving the Dragon Egg

Now turn right and open the door. In the center of the room, on the table, there is a cage with a dragon egg—use the Alohomora spell to unlock it.

After taking the egg, turn around and go down the steps to the arena where the bound dragon is waiting.

Battle in the arena

In the arena, you will face several waves of enemies: poachers and various types of loyalist goblins.

The Dragon’s Liberation

After defeating both waves of enemies, use “Akcio” on the chain at the base of the dragon’s shackles. The freed creature will incinerate the poachers surrounding you, while you break a hole in the tent ceiling, allowing the dragon to escape to freedom.

Completion of the quest

Leaving the arena with Poppy, you learn that the rescued dragon is a Hebridean black, and the egg you found probably belongs to this particular dragon. After a short conversation, the quest ends.
