The Helm of Urtkot

The Hogwarts Legacy storyline quest involves searching for an ancient goblin relic. You will need Urtkot’s helmet to trick Ranrok and find out his plans through an ally named Lodgok.

Start of quest: Negotiations in Hogsmeade

Head to the Three Broomsticks tavern in Hogsmeade. When talking to Cirona, mention that you want to learn more about Ranrock — she will send you to her friend, the goblin Lodgok, who can usually be found at the Boar’s Head.

The tavern is a little further down the street. Inside, look for Lodgok at the table to the left of the entrance. Refer to Sirona’s trust, and the goblin will reveal his intentions: he is also trying to unravel Ranrok’s plans, but for this he needs a sacred goblin relic — the Helm of Urkot.

The Path to the Witch’s Tomb

The meeting point with Lodgok is not far from Hogsmeade. Follow him to the “Collector’s Cave” fast travel point. On the way, the goblin will tell you the story of the artifact. After a short conversation at the entrance, descend into the dungeon.

The Collector’s Cave: Butterfly Puzzles

The main mechanics of the dungeon are doors that open with the help of magical moths. They must be lured with the Lumos spell and delivered to special lamps on the doors.

The first door

Two moths are already in place. The third is hiding in the side corridor on the left. Activate Lumos, bring the moth to the door, and release the spell. Behind the door that opens, in the niche on the left, you will find a large chest.

The second door

Round hall with three missing moths:

Moth	Location
First	Left side of the hall
Second	Right side of the hall
Third	Behind the broken boards to the right of the door — use Depulse

After opening the door, prepare to battle the inferi. These undead creatures are only vulnerable to fire.

Effective tactics against Inferi:

• The Confrigo and Incendio spells deal the most damage.
• Ancient magic spell with exploding barrels from the surroundings
• Use mandrake to complete the duel challenge

Third door: mechanism with platform

In the center of the room is a mechanism that requires a moth to activate it. Algorithm of actions:

1. Place one of the two available moths on the mechanism
2. Stand on the platform on the right
3. Use Depulse on the mechanism several times — the platform will rise
4. Climb up behind the third moth
5. Go down, return the moth from the mechanism, and collect the remaining ones on the floor
6. Install all three on the door

Secret chests: Before descending through the hole in the floor, break the boards on the right with the Depulso spell. Use Accio to pull the chest closer and use it as a step to reach the two platforms with chests.

To create a passage further on, use a basic attack to cut the rope holding the suspended box—it will break through the floor.

The fourth door: a difficult puzzle

After jumping into the water and entering the round hall, you will be attacked by a large group of inferi.

Duel tests of this battle:

• Defeat all enemies in less than 2 minutes
• Freeze the enemy with Glacius and cut them with Diffindo

The door is located on the upper platform on the left, and the mechanism is at the far end of the hall. There are four moths in the room.

Step-by-step solution:

1. Take any moth and activate the mechanism with it.
2. Stand on the lower section between the platforms
3. Depulse will lift you up — take the moth on the right through Lumos
4. Jump to the door and install the moth
5. You will find the second moth near the door on the right
6. Go down after the fourth moth into the niche where you didn’t take the first one
7. Place it on the pedestal on the left at the bottom
8. Climb back up through the mechanism to the door
9. Activate Depulse several times — the pedestal with the moth will rise along with the mechanism
10. Standing at the door, use Lumos and take the last moth

The Tomb and the Pursuit of the Helmet

Descend the steps to find the witch’s resting place. A dead ash-bearer lies next to the coffin—search the body to obtain a signet ring. The helmet has already been stolen.

The exit is behind the sarcophagus — interact with the wall to get to the northern region of Hogwarts.

The End: The Ashtray Camp

Lodgok will tell you about the nearest enemy camp where Rukwood could have taken the relic. Clear the area of enemies and look inside the open tent on the right. Urtkot’s helmet is in the large chest.

Immediately after that, an ambush will begin: ash-covered assassins and the inferi they summon will appear. Defeat them and deliver the artifact to Lodgok — the quest is complete.
