The final story quest sums up the entire story. You will have to descend into an ancient vault, battle Ranrok, and determine the fate of the magical world.
Meeting with Professor Fig

Head to the Map Room, where Professor Fig awaits you. Reckham will announce that you are ready and warn you of the temptation—the magic of the vault cannot be destroyed or subjugated. The map on the floor will disappear, revealing a secret staircase with a door. Descend—the Guardians’ Cave lies ahead.
The Path Through the Guardians’ Caves
The winding route through the dungeons is linear but filled with enemies. Be prepared for constant skirmishes with loyalist goblins.

The first arena is a serious challenge. Here, two fortified trolls and a group of goblins attack simultaneously. After victory, find the stone wall with white glowing smoke in the depths of the arena — Professor Fig will blow it up, clearing the passage.

The second arena is easier: only loyalist goblins. To the right of the battle site, look for a similar wall with glowing smoke to blow up.

A giant cave greets you with a cutscene: Hogwarts teachers apparate to your aid. Cross the bridge to a small combat zone. First, loyalists will appear, then a troll fighter will break through the wall. Destroy all enemies. A successful strike by Professor Sharp will create a makeshift bridge, which you and Fig can use to reach the entrance to the vault.

Two Demos Guardians guard the gate. Obtain the Guardians’ Staff before they strike — the guards will retreat and the doors will open.

Choosing your destiny: two endings

Inside, Professor Fig will ask about your intentions. This dialogue determines the ending of the game, but the differences between the endings are minimal — choose whichever you prefer.
| Answer option | Result |
|---|---|
| “I intend to leave her here.” | Good ending |
| “I intend to open it.” | Bad ending |
A good ending
Fig accepts your decision to keep the magic sealed with relief. Additionally, choose whether to keep the secret “for now” or “forever” (this does not affect the plot). Ranrock appears with Miriam’s wand and breaks into the vault with a destructive spell.
Figa is buried under the rubble. You slide down—the final battle begins.
After the victory: dark magic breaks free. With the Guardians’ staff, you create a new storage cell, Professor Fig helps with his last ounce of strength and dies from his wounds.
Bad ending
Fig is shocked and begs you to reconsider, recalling Isidora’s downfall. If you insist on seizing power, he doesn’t have time to change your mind — Ranrock bursts in and unleashes dark magic.
The boss battle is identical to the good ending.
After victory: you channel all the dark magic into yourself. Your eyes flash red—you gain immense power and bend the remaining energy to your will.
Boss Fight: How to Defeat Ranrock

Infused with the magic of the vault, Ranrok takes the form of a shadow dragon. Ordinary spells are useless—look for floating magic spheres and strike them with a spell of the corresponding color.
Phase 1

One sphere briefly exposes Ranrock’s vulnerability. The dragon’s attacks are swift: it’s not always clear whether to block with Protego or dodge. After depleting the first health segment, the boss will destroy the wall — run along the path that opens up.
Phase 2

The mechanics are the same, but now you need to hit two spheres in a row. After the second health segment, descend into the circular arena at the bottom of the cave.
Phase 3
Formally, one long period of health, but in fact, two stages:
Air Attack Phase — Destroy three spheres to make Ranrock vulnerable.

Ground combat phase — the dragon lands. It swings its tail, lunges, and spits fireballs. Edurus potions are indispensable here: while you search for and destroy the four spheres, damage is inevitable. The good news is that after all four spheres are activated, Ranrok remains vulnerable until the end of the battle.
Finishing

When the boss’s health reaches zero, he will freeze in the center of the arena. Three spheres will appear, disappearing almost instantly — switch between spell types as quickly as possible, otherwise the spheres will move. Hit all three — Ranrok is defeated.

Epilogue: Remembering Professor Fige

Regardless of the ending chosen, everyone gathers in the Great Hall. Professor Black tries to give a speech, but stumbles over his words—Professor Weasley continues for him. Those present raise their glasses in honor of Professor Fig.
After the ceremony, Ominis approaches you. Tell him the truth: it wasn’t the goblins who cursed Anna, but Rukbor. Ominis immediately leaves to tell Anna and Sebastian.
You return to your bedroom. Spring is outside the window—the school year is coming to an end. It’s time to finish unfinished business: entries in the Field Guide, side quests, and exploring the open world.
